Post-Liposuction Precautions

The IV fluid administered to prevent bleeding may leak out. On the day of surgery, we recommend wearing clothes that can get wet and placing a towel that can get wet on your bedding while you sleep. Please do not worry too much, as the leaking fluid is red, which does not mean there is an internal problem causing bleeding.

During the recovery process, the area where fat was removed may experience unevenness or lumps due to swelling. These conditions will improve after at least one month of recovery.

Wearing a compression garment is essential for skin elasticity, and wearing it for one month is standard.

Please do not worry, as major swelling subsides in one month and minor swelling takes up to two to three months.

Please refrain from drinking and smoking for one month, as this increases the risk of inflammation at the surgical site.

You can use nose packs, get facial massages, and wear glasses starting one month after surgery.

Aerobics, swimming, weight training, and saunas are permitted after one month. However, walking helps with surgical recovery.

If necessary, please change the healing tape on the wound every two days until the stitches are removed.

Post-operative precautions for Fox Contour Facial Liposuction

Swelling is more severe 3 to 5 days after surgery than on the day of surgery, and major swelling subsides within 2 to 4 weeks. (Swelling and bruising vary from person to person.)

Please apply a cold compress for 3 days after surgery (for swelling), and a warm compress for bruising starting from the 4th day. (Cold compress: Freezer for 10–15 minutes / Warm compress: Microwave for 10 seconds)
It is recommended to use gauze or a handkerchief to prevent the hot pack from touching the skin directly. Please be careful of frostbite or burns due to reduced sensation.

Applying warm compresses and doing neck stretches until the biobond (hardening of the surgical site) disappears will be helpful. (For 3 to 6 months)

If you have undergone buccal fat removal, there are dissolvable sutures in your mouth. For one week, please disinfect the inside of your mouth with the prescribed Hexamedine mouthwash after meals. (Please avoid spicy and hot foods for one week.)

If Botox treatment is performed together, the effects of Botox appear after one week.

Drinking alcohol, smoking, aerobics, swimming, weight training, and saunas are permitted after one month, while light walks and aerobic exercises aid in recovery.
[Things to do starting Day 1 after surgery]

Wake up the morning after surgery and remove the tape.

Please gently remove the tape attached to your face (to prevent skin damage). If there is a hole in the surgical site, apply the prescribed Duoderm (regenerative tape). (Please change it every two days for about a week.)
In some cases, there is no hole under the double chin, while in others, one may be added after surgery.

Wear compression bandage (from the day of surgery to 1 week): Wear for 24 hours a day as much as possible (Do not wear during meals or showering; improve blood circulation every 2 hours).

Use only while sleeping from 2 weeks to 2 months (wearing it 24 hours a day actually slows down the reduction of swelling).
